Southern Beaches

Hilton Head Island:

Hilton Head is one of the most popular beaches on the southern part of the coast of South Carolina. It is near other, smaller beaches such as Fripp Island. The history of Hilton Head largely consists of Gullah culture, which influenced a lot if the food found there today. It also has nice resorts.

Edisto Island:

Edistio Island is considered to be one of the more peaceful beaches in South Carolina. It is very small, but very popular. It has five miles of beach and 37 access points. It also is home to where the flowing Edisto River meets the sea. It is also home to Edisto State Park and Edisto Marina.
