Charleston is one of the nicest, most popular beach areas in South Carolina. It is also home to many smaller beaches such as Johns and James Island and even Isle of Palms, which is home to Wild Dunes. In the city of Charleston is the Charleston market wich used to be a slave market, but was turned into a shopping market for tourists. Perpendicular to the market is King Street, one of the best places for shopping in South Carolina. It is home to Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Lululemon, and many more expensive and even less expensive places. Charleston's history is very, very vast. There have been many pirate hangings in the Battery and a lot of slaves were sold here. Many of the houses and buildings are still standing from hundreds of years ago. Many movies and shows have been filmed there. One of the newer ones being Outer Banks, a popular Netflix show. This show was also filmed partly in Kiawah, a very nice South Carolina beach also located in the central area of the South Carolina coast.
Kiwaha is the home to a resort called the Sanctuary. Also around the beach are villages that have condo houses to stay in right off of the beach. There is also a nice place for all ages called Night Heron Park which has weekend camps for kids, a waterpark and pool, and a small grocerystore/resturaunt with a bar for parents. Kiawah is also home to Ospery Point Gold course where the famous clubhouse that was used to film Outer Banks is located. This golf course was used in the PGA a few years ago and is very popular for professional golfers. Also on Kiwah, right near the exit to the island is a small village called Freshfields which is home to many resturaunts and stores such as Cantina 76 and Lululemon.
